As, a CNE Corporate Affairs Advisor you will:

  • Develop and execute engagement and outreach campaigns for Chevron Vice Presidents (VP) and General Managers (GM) at the state, federal and national level, and international as applicable.

  • Identify and deliver thought leadership opportunities to enhance VPs/GMs visibility, collaborating across Corporate Affairs, work closely with communications and external affairs teams to develop messaging.

  • Drive coordination for executives’ external engagements.

  • Influence views of peer companies, relevant trade organizations and thought leaders through trades, business memberships, coalitions, and one on one engagements.

  • Build and maintain ongoing relationships with a network of external and internal stakeholders and peers.

  • Collaborate in the creation of annual budgets (Opex, Social Investment, and Business Membership) that aligns with framework and business strategy, with measurable results.

  • Analyze potential external stakeholder issues, including level of risk and potential impact.

  • Understand broad industry trends and apply them to stakeholder engagement planning

  • Partner with stakeholder engagement team and business lines to develop and implement engagement strategies in support of CNE projects.

  • Identify key internal stakeholders and develop regular cadence for engagement and communication, including with the GM CNE Corporate Affairs.

  • Advise CNE leaders on government and policy issues.

  • Develop and recommend policy and advocacy positions.

Requirements

  • 8+ Years of experience in energy, corporate affairs, or related field.

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Ability to build and maintain ongoing relationships with a network of external and internal stakeholders.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and capable of working in a collaborative, team-driven environment.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills including writing for a different number of mediums.

  • Ability to operate in an agile, fast paced, and uncertain work environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree
